I found that using more butter or margarine in the graham cracker crust helps to solve the issue of getting the bars out of the pan and adding additional sugar to it also keeps the bars from crumbling so badly.
These bars stay together better if you layer the chocolate and nuts over the crumb layer, then add the condensed milk, and top with coconut.
