  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine flour, granulated sweetener, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. Beat eggs, oil and milk in large bowl with wire whisk until well blended. Stir in bananasl. Add dry ingredients; stir just until moistened. Stir in chopped chocolate and walnuts.
  • Pour into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Bake 45 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 min. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack. Cut into 18 slices to serve.

I used 1 cup of wheat and white flour, added one egg and one egg white and reduced the amount of chocolate (bittersweet) and walnuts but it was SUPER delicious, my husband said it reminded him of the kind he had when he was a kid, you wouldn't even know it had splenda, I'm sure I'll be making this alot more!

I like the fact that the recipe used Splenda -- it's a banana bread for the person who is watching their food intake but also satisfies the urge for chocolate without having a decadent chocolate cake. I'll make it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this recipe! I love this recipe! It has become my family's favorite banana bread. I add 1 TBSP honey, 1/2 cup PB chips and 1/2-1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of the Baker's chocolate. Very moist and flavorful!
