  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Microwave cranberries and orange juice in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 30 sec.; stir, Set aside. Combine next 4 ingredients.
  • Beat margarine and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each until blended. Gradually beat in oat mixture. Stir in cranberry mixture, chocolate and nuts.
  • Spread onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Bake 25 to 30 min. or until lightly browned. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

    These are fabulous. I made them exactly as instructed and they were moist and chocolatey but tasted healthy. We cut them into little bars and served them at our New Years Eve party 2012 and we were raving over them. Love them, will most def make again.

    i thought this would be more of an oatty bar but it turned out to be very cakey and quite dry. It also fell apart rather than staying as a bar.

    I love this recipe i did make a few changes , added extra cranberries which i compensated with extra orange juice. Which helps with keeping the bars moist. We eat them quite often for breakfast.
