  • Dip strawberries in chocolate; let excess chocolate drip off.
  • Place on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Refrigerate 30 min. or until chocolate is firm.

Cooking Know-How

For best results, serve strawberries the same day they are dipped.

How to Select and Store Fresh Strawberries

When purchasing fresh strawberries, look for plump, brightly colored berries with a strong strawberry fragrance. If pre-packaged in plastic cartons, be sure to check the bottom of the container for any mushy berries or signs of mold. Store strawberries in the refrigerator and wash just before using.

Because Mon. is Valentines Day, our Church is having a bake sale on Sunday so, I'm making some to sell in pkgs. of 4. I'm sure they'll be a big seller.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I've been making something a lot like this for years. I've been making something a lot like this for years. The big difference is that I carefully core the strawberries beforehand and then fill them with whipped cream right before serving them. I got the idea from an old friend. Tip: It's easiest to fill the strawberries if you use the whipped cream that comes in a can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this recipe. I loved this recipe. I think I'm a lil biased because these are my favorite desserts but these were great for a bridal shower I did. I loved it! And they were so easy to make! Just make sure you put it in the fridge for the allotted time or else the chocolate won't harden enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used semi-sweet and it was perfect. I used semi-sweet and it was perfect. I also did it over the stove because, honestly, I'm lazy. I turned the heat on low, stirred for a min, then took it on and off the heat as not to burn it. I'm never going to pay a couple bucks for ONE chocolate dipped strawberry again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I make chocolate covered strawberries regularly with my family's catering business. I make chocolate covered strawberries regularly with my family's catering business. This recipe is great except for one thing...I wouldn't suggest leaving the strawberries in the refrigerator. The cold air combined with the chocolate covering causes them to get a little oozey.
