I found this to be tasteless and the wafers were just a filler that added nothing to an already bland dessert. The chocolate hardened into icicles that again added nothing to the overall taste or texture. If you must make this use lemon pudding and only use the wafter to top it not in layers.

I read through comments and made this the day before I planned on serving it and I agree, it is better to serve it the next day. I made this using lemon pudding mix and while I thought the overall taste was good, I found it too sweet. Next time, I will try using one sugar-free pudding mix and a bit less cool whip. I will try using a layer of vanilla and a layer of chocolate pudding next time. This will make a good lunchbox treat for my children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great dessert. This is a great dessert. I used sugar free pudding, fat free milk, low fat nilla wafers and fat free cool whip. It turned out great. My husband loved it. I have made it with vanilla pudding and just recently made it with banana cream. I use a sandwich bag to drizzle the chocolate. Just put the melted chocolate in the bag cut one corner and drizzle it over the top. Will come out just as pretty as the picture.

I made this recipe this past july 4th for a pot luck picnic and my desert was gone wayy before all the fancy store-bought deserts! Everyone agreed it was great! The only thing that gave me trouble was melting the chocolate. I ended up mixing some milk in with the chocolate chips. maybe next time I'll use a chocolate thats already liquidy, like a jar of fudge ice cream topping. either way i recommend it!

I made this recipe for work--everyone loved it and asked if I would be willing to make it again. I had placed the cake in the Refrigerator over night and then Placed it in the freezer about an hour before cutting it to make it a bit firmer. The cake is absolutly delicous and looks impressive the only change I made was that I melted chocolate chips instead of bakers chocolate for the top

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of the recipes you can't mess up on even if you're a beginner cook. This is one of the recipes you can't mess up on even if you're a beginner cook. It's great if you're having a party and want a dessert but won't have time the day of, this way you can make this the night before b/c the longer it stays in the fridge the softer the cookie gets! Also if you want single servings try making these in cupcake liners.

I made this for our work bake sale, however I did a little things different I used my food chopper for the chocolate squares and then sprinkled them on top, it looked so pretty and tasted better as well. My recipe sold for 60.00 and everyone loved it! Will definitely make again as it was also a big hit with my family.
