I made Kraft's "Chocolate Elegance" for Christmas dessert after my vegetarian lasagna and mixed Italian salad. The dessert was delicious. It is hard to believe that it was not as rich as it could have been. It sure tasted rich. As a matter of fact, it tasted like a chocolate covered cheesecake on top of a chocolate cheesecake. One almost HAD to have hot coffee with this. Because it was a bit thick and hard to slice (sticky), I decided that I will make this in the future in a 9 x 13 pan rather than the smaller loaf pan. I will pour and spread the two layers (chocolate first, then white) over a graham cracker crust, and then pour the chocolate icing to cover, with no inversion. Cut into squares and serve. I believe it will be easier to serve and eat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This recipe definitely makes a smooth, creamy, chocolatey treat! This recipe definitely makes a smooth, creamy, chocolatey treat! I made it just to try it out in case I wanted to make it for a function or event. I didn't have the rectangular pan to pour it in, so I had to use a plastic square-shaped bowl. It looked very pretty after it was frosted with the chocolate glaze! This would definitely be great for after dessert with coffee or even milk. It's almost similar to the chocolate mouse torte. Will definitely use strawberries as someone else suggested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This turned out so good and pretty! This turned out so good and pretty! I made it for Christmas and took one to work with me. I got so many compliments and requests for them I ended up making several more. I made one for a girl at work who does not care for chocolate by substituting banana pudding (in the cream cheese) for one layer and strawberry jello (in the other cream cheese mixture) for the other layer. For the icing, I used white chocolate chips and it turned out so good and pretty!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This dessert is very rich and chocolate-y! This dessert is very rich and chocolate-y! Definitely a fall/winter dessert and best served in small slices (Big portions would be too much.) Hot coffee or tea and a simple, crunchy cookie would compliment it well. I brought this to a Holiday party where there were many desserts to choose from and this one went fast and everyone liked it. The texture takes a moment for your brain to process, but it's not offensive. It’s really quite nice. It’s a bit like cheesecake filling or a thick pudding. The frosting goes on like a thick glaze but sets to a fudge like frosting after it is refrigerated. I added hazelnut flavoring to the white layer and used toasted, chopped hazelnuts instead of almonds. Note: I could only make this in 20 minutes if I had a kitchen crew, a maid and a dish washer. I don’t, so it took quite some time and effort, but it was worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for a dinner party and everyone absolutely loved it. I made this for a dinner party and everyone absolutely loved it. It wasn't a hard recipe, however, you need to be organised and prepared. I made is mostly FATFREE. Mixed low fat and fat free cream cheese, fat free coolwhip, low fat milk and surgar free instant pudding mix. I added strawberries as an added garnish. It was to die for and lower in calories and fat. Can't wait to have it again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is easy to make and absolutely delicious. Is easy to make and absolutely delicious. I get asked to bring it to all our parties. It was a little too rich for us so I substited the semi-sweet chocolate with 1 cup of milk chocolate chips and added about 10 crushed oreos to the bottom layer to help with the texture. When it was all set and done I garnished it with crushed oreos and it looked beautiful. Definitely is a keeper!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1. 1. Looks elegant, just like the title implies. 2. Easy to make (yes it takes more than 20 mins, but when are kraft's estimates ever right??) 3. Tastes great! (really sweet, so a little goes a long way) 4. Only complaint-even though it had been glazed and fully prepared in the fridge for 2 hours, it still wasn't cold like I expected when I first tasted it.

This did turn out pretty, though it was a little difficult to spread the chocolate glaze evenly over the dessert before the chocolate hardened (I did use the Bakers brand). The main problem, though, was that the chocolate layer had a gummy texture that didn't taste great and made it difficult to cut pretty pieces. The overall taste was ok, but not great.
