Maybe I did this wrong, but these did not come out very well. It seemed like there was not enough chocolate to cover all the other ingrediants. Maybe I don't understand "4" squares of chocolate. I used 4 squares out of the package of 8. should I have used the entire package?
I was very disappointed with the directions....they said to melt the chocolate squares & butterscotch chips on "HIGH" for 2-3 min., stirring after 1 & 1/2 min......BAD news.....the chocolate/butterscotch 'coagulated'(?)in a near solid 'clump' rather than melting slowly into a 'liquidy' consistency....(I later read the tiny directions on the butterscotch chips bag that said to "ONLY melt on 'MEDIUM-HIGH', and then after a short time to check, stir, etc. and continue in short spurts on the lower temp". By following your directions the resulting chocolate mixture was very 'grainy' & 'glumped' so that mixing it all together was a total mess with uncovered marshmallows, noodles, etc....didn't look at all appealing but I made up the 'haystacks' anyway and chilled since I didn't wish to waste the expensive ingredients nor had time to return to the store for more! NEXT TIME, I will be certain to SLOWLY melt the concoction at a MUCH LOWER temp & stir frequently and much sooner. The individual i
