Chocolate-Honey Brownie Bars

These brownies not only have honey in the batter, but are also drizzled with a luscious chocolate-honey topping for an extra-special touch.

What You Need

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided

cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter

1/2

cup sugar

1/2

cup honey

eggs

cup flour

Tbsp. honey

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Line 13x9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Grease foil; set aside. Microwave 6 oz. chocolate and the butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar and 1/2 cup honey; mix well. Blend in eggs. Add flour; stir until well blended. Pour into prepared pan.

BAKE 25 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.

MICROWAVE remaining 2 oz. chocolate and the 2 Tbsp. honey in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Drizzle over dessert. Refrigerate 5 min. or until chocolate is firm. Lift bars from pan, using foil handles; place on cutting board. Cut into 24 bars to serve.

Use Your Stove

Melt chocolate and butter in heavy 2-qt. saucepan on very low heat until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Continue as directed.

Note

If baking in glass baking dish, reduce oven temperature to 325°F.

The chocolate drizzle turned out too hard and was difficult to cut and bite. But the bars themselves were very good.

I don't know what I did wrong but it was dry and even the drizzle chocolate didn't turn out. I think maybe I burned it.

This recipe made for a great brownie. The texture was good and it was very moist; however, it was way too sweet. The drizzle was not easy to place on the brownie either.

I had never made brownies with honey...its a great flavor! It is rich and good with a glass of milk!

My family and I found these bland. They weren't sweet or rich enough. I cooked them for 25 minutes as it says but they seemed dry. :-/ Dissappointing.

I made these for a bake sale. I drizzled white chocolate over top. Very pretty and very big hit!!!!!!

these were very good but the chocolate drizzle melted too quickly and it was very hard to put it on the brownies

These were really good. I personally like my brownies a little sweeter, but for someone who values richness over sweetness, these are great. They come out really pretty--just like the picture.
