What You Need

NILLA Wafers, finely crushed (about 1-1/2 cups)

cup butter, melted

1/2

cup sugar, divided

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cups plus 2 Tbsp. cold milk, divided

1/4

cup finely crushed candy canes

tub (12 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

pkg. (3.9 oz. each) JELL-O Chocolate Instant Pudding

cup coarsely crushed candy canes

Make It

MIX wafer crumbs, butter and 2 Tbsp. sugar; press onto bottom of 13x9-inch dish. Refrigerate until ready to use.

BEAT cream cheese, remaining sugar and 2 Tbsp. milk in medium bowl until blended. Stir in finely crushed candy canes. Add 1-1/4 cups COOL WHIP; mix well. Spread over crust.

BEAT pudding mixes and remaining milk with whisk 2 min.; pour over cream cheese layer. Let stand 5 min. or until thickened. Cover with remaining COOL WHIP.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours. Top with coarsely crushed candy canes just before serving.

Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.

This is delicious! Everyone enjoyed it :). It makes a huge tray, so for a family of 4, I might cut the recipes in half. I had family over for New Years Eve and it was gone quickly!

I have made this recipe for years. The only difference is I use oreo cookies for the crust instead of nilla wafers. This is so good and I get requests for the recipe or to make it every year.

I made this dessert for a holiday party, it was super easy to make! And it was a hit!! Definitely stick in the freezer for an hour or so to get everything to form and I always use a large tub of Cool Whip anytime a Kraft recipe calls for a smaller one. soo yummy!

Sounds wonderful, but I will make it for my diabetic husband by using Splenda instead of sugar; Sugar Free Cool Whip & Sugar Free Instant Pudding. I will use lower fat Cream Cheese too. Based on prior my experience, you won't be able to tell the difference, taste-wise. Should make a festive and tasty Holiday treat.

i have been making this recipe for years. minus the candy canes. i make it for every time i go to a party, bbq, anything. everyone loves it! i have even made it halp chocolate pudding half vanilla pudding.
