  • Stir 1 cup COOL WHIP into remaining pudding; spoon over pudding layer in crust.
  • Top with remaining COOL WHIP. Refrigerate 3 hours.

Special Extra

Sprinkle 2 Tbsp. chopped toasted PLANTERS Pecans onto bottom of crust before adding filling as directed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Where do you find a 3.9 oz box of pudding? Where do you find a 3.9 oz box of pudding? My choices were2.1 and 1.4 - so I combined the two - but it still came out too thick. should have used the amount of milk on each box - not the recipe. Was using the sugar free/fat free - would that make a difference? I will make this again - had made it years ago but couldn't find my recipe. Now that I know what to change. but I'm out 2 boxes of pudding and a pie crust .... :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This pie was really good. This pie was really good. The only change I made was that I used a wire whisk to gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture. If you blend it too much the pie probably won't set up like it should.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So I made this recipe exactly as the directions say. So I made this recipe exactly as the directions say. I put the pie in the refrigerator to set up over night. But the next morning when I went to get the pie out it was still liquid. It didn't set up. I don't know what i did wrong, since I followed the directions to a tee. Just to say the pie didn't work for me. The only reason I would make this again would be to experiment to see if it actually works. Needless to say not too happy about this recipe since I didn't have a desert to take to my party :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was so awesome! This was so awesome! I actually made my own oreo pie crust because I couldn't find one in the store. I just crushed the oreos (without the cream) and added a little melted butter to hold it together! This is so easy and tastes great! <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Wendy ~ When preparing your own Oreo crust, it is not necessary to remove the filing, simply crush the Oreo Cookies as they come from the package. >>>

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've made this easy pie as a home warming gift at least three times. I've made this easy pie as a home warming gift at least three times. It's something that transports pretty well and is enjoyed by chocolate fans of all ages. I have also made it with Devil's Food pudding, rather than just chocolate for a richer taste. NOTE to those who had problems getting it to set . . . you might not have purchased the Instant pudding mix. (I speak from experience on other recipes).

I made this with the 2 types of jello (mint chocolate as the bottom layer, the sugar free chocolate as the middle, a mix of sugar free and cool whip as the next layer, and the top layer was the fat/sugar free cool whip), the sugar free chocolate and the mint chocolate. It was smooth, light, and a huge success. My family loved it and will make this dessert again.

Also, you can experiment with this recipe to try other flavors if you want. I used a shortbread pie crust, vanilla pudding, and strawberry cool whip one time and made a strawberry shortcake-esque dish that got rave reviews!
