What You Need

pkg. (2-layer size) chocolate cake mix

3/4

cup water

1/2

cup oil

eggs

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

jar (7 oz.) JET-PUFFED Marshmallow Creme

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BEAT first 4 ingredients with mixer until well blended. Drop 2 Tbsp. batter, 2 inches apart, into 32 mounds on baking sheets sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 10 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out almost clean. Cool on baking sheets 3 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

BEAT cream cheese and marshmallow creme in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add COOL WHIP; beat on low speed just until blended.

SPREAD about 2 Tbsp. COOL WHIP mixture onto bottom side of each of 16 cookies. Top with strawberries and remaining cookies.

cake part of this recipe sticky, making it hard to work with the filling. Was wondering if any one has tried a light freeze on the cake part after it cooled to see if this helped putting the filling in or do you think after doing this would make cake part more sticky when picking up to eat then is already? Think I'll give it a try and see what happens. They're tasty no matter what.

Everyone liked the flavor of these-I would definitely use the middle again, however the cakes themselves were incredibly sticky. It was impossible to assemble them w/o half of the cake sticking to my fingers. I will find a different recipe for the cake part next time.

This was so delicious I wanted to eat them all myself! The only problem I had was with the cake it self being sticky

So yummy and so fresh. The creamy, marshmallow filling is tasty right off the spoon. I made it will the yellow cake mix as well as the chocolate, both are YUMMY. Easy to make...crowd pleaser...
