Rated 5 out of 5 by from This pie was a delicious surprise. This pie was a delicious surprise. So quick, so easy and everything on hand in the kitchen. Not quite a brownie, not quite cake, this pie was moist and sweet, but not overly so. I made another only a couple of hours later and used pecans in the batter. Followed the suggestions of other reviewers and served it with fresh raspberries - also served with a sprinkling of powdered sugar and whipped cream. This will be a staple in our house!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I modified the recipe. I modified the recipe. I used a double boiler to melt my chocolate. I added a pinch of salt and a sprinkle of vanilla extract. I added the eggs one at a time and used an electric beater to to blend it. The texture was incredible. It was absolutely heavenly. I will probably serve it with vanilla bean ice cream from now on though. Cool Whip didn't stand up to the rich chocolate taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Recipe for Chocolaty Yumminess I make this every year for Thanksgiving. My brother in law requests it. It is super easy. It is intensely chocolate almost like a flour less chocolate cake. We love it. I always top it with real whipped cream. A tip: I have learned to whisk the eggs separately then whisk themy into the cooled chocolate. Cool the chocolate for about 5 minutes or so but don't wait too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good dessert It tasted chocolate-y and was very dense. I cooked it for less time, because the instructions say to cook until the middle is set. So it may have been undercooked? By about ten minutes. My friends really enjoyed it, and if they hadn't, they would have told me. When i made this recipe, i heated the cream on the stove and then added the chocolate to it, stirred until melted. It took longer, but honestly, i think it's relaxing that way. The microwave makes me anxious, because i find it harder to time correctly.

I made this for Thanksgiving and was looking forward to a creamy pie that resembled a truffle but the texture was not nearly the same. I did find the chocolate a bit bitter but that was offset by whipped cream. The texture was not as creamy as I would have liked. Had I read the reviews prior to making the pie I would have added a crust. While this was not a "bad" pie, it was not one that I have any desire to make again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As an avid chocolate lover, I was expecting alot from a "truffle" cake. As an avid chocolate lover, I was expecting alot from a "truffle" cake. Although it was not the same as eating a piece of chocolate truffles, it was the most moist chocolate cake I have ever had. It was pretty, ridiculously easy to make and stayed moist for a long time after. I made it again and it was great the second time. I highly recommend this recipe for anyone lookiing for a great chocolate cake!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made this recipe several times and I have always gotten rave reviews. I have made this recipe several times and I have always gotten rave reviews. Not sure how some reviewers could not have liked the chocolate taste. It's so simple. I normally have everything on hand and can whip it up anytime I have unexpected visitors. It's a great pie without having to make a separate crust. It's fantastic! Don't go by the ones who didn't like it. Try it for yourself!!
