A good recipe to start with, but I changed a couple of things to suit the taste and needs of my family. I substituted brown sugar for half of the white sugar, add 1 tsp of vanilla, and substututed cinnamon flavored applesauce for the eggs(my son is allergic to eggs). One time I didn't have apples int the house and used apple pie filling, just rinsed off the sauce and drained, then chopped. Takes about 10 extra minutes to bake with the applesauce and pie filling, but just as good. Everyone in my office loves this cake and has begged for the recipe.

Everyone raved. I am not kidding when I say RAVED either. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I was in a rush to get everything done before the company arrived and it went together 1, 2, 3. I used the food processor to make the crumbs and it was super easy. My fiance's friend and coworker requested he bring him in another piece of this cake to work today!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I took this to a dinner party and it was a big hit. I took this to a dinner party and it was a big hit. One of the guests said it reminded him of his grandmas apple cake recipe. He later contacted me and asked for the recipe because he found out that his grandma had kept that recipe a secret when she died. When I made the recipe I used the low fat kind and placed the graham crackers in the blender so it had the consistancy of flour. It made them very moist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cake was very simple to make and was extra tasty. This cake was very simple to make and was extra tasty. I was slightly short on the needed amount of graham crackers, so I used crushed animal crackers to make up the difference and it worked out just fine. It would be easy to vary the recipe a little by adding raisins along with or instead of the walnuts. This recipe is easy to adapt to personal family tastes. My husband and his co-workers loved it.

Making it now for a Party. It is really different and one I enjoyed. I also want to try making it with Chocolate Graham Crackers. I used the regular ones the first time. A great snack, dessert or for something a little different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm sooo glad to find this recipe! I'm sooo glad to find this recipe! I got it off the Cinammon Graham Cracker box last year and loved it for its taste, as well as ease of preparation. Then I lost my copy, and Nabisco changed the recipe on the box. When I wrote Kraft Kitchens for the recipe, I was told they had no record of the recipe. SO...I'm happy to find it again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I couldn't believe how easy this cake came together. I couldn't believe how easy this cake came together. I used applesauce in place of the butter. Also, I didn't have cinnamon graham crackers, so I just added cinnamon along with plain graham crackers. The cake was moist and good. I stored the leftover in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Just right for a cool fall day!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm all for made from scratch recipes, this was a good one. I'm all for made from scratch recipes, this was a good one. Graham crackers added a nice cinnamon flavor. Next time I think I will leave crackers more coarsely crushed as fine crumbs got a bit mushy by day 2 or 3. I also added about 1/8 tbsp of Apple Pie Seasoning. Best served warm.
