Citrus Sorbet Pie

Well loved by all! Even I liked it, and I'm not usually one who likes marshmallows and jello/cool whip desserts. Very nice for a cool summer dessert.

What You Need

2/3

cup boiling water

pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Orange Flavor Gelatin

cup orange sherbet

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows

can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple in juice, drained

HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)

Make It

ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add sherbet; stir with whisk until melted. Add COOL WHIP, marshmallows and pineapple; stir until well blended. Refrigerate 10 min. or until mixture is very thick and will mound.

POUR into crust.

FREEZE 4 hours or until firm.

Since this frosty pie makes enough to serve 8, it's a great dessert to serve at your next special occasion.

Variation

Prepare using JELL-O Lime Flavor Gelatin and lemon sherbet.

Substitute

Substitute 1 drained can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges for the pineapple.

I made this pie for a family picnic. I did not have any left to take home. Everyone just raved over it! Very cool and refreshing!

I like to add less than 1/4 cup flaked coconut to this recipe. It gives it a great kick. For a lighter version, I use lite or fat-free Cool Whip, reduced fat Graham Pie Crust & Sugar free orange gelatin. It's always a big hit at parties. I always get people asking for this refreshing recipe.

This recipe looks great, I prefer the lowest possible fat when cooking for my family so I'll use the fat free whipped cream in the recipe, I hope it works.
