What You Need

pkg. (14 oz.) BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut

oz. BAKER'S White Chocolate, chopped

2/3

cup sugar

Tbsp. flour

1/4

tsp. salt

egg whites

tsp. grated lemon zest

tsp. almond extract

oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 325°F. Combine coconut, white chocolate, sugar, flour and salt in large bowl. Add egg whites, lemon zest and almond extract; mix well.

DROP by tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased and floured baking sheets.

BAKE 20 min. or until edges are golden brown. Immediately remove from baking sheets to wire racks. Cool completely. Drizzle with the melted chocolate.

I made these for Christmas this year. I loved them even though I don't really like coconut. If you do not want the lemon-ey taste, I would reduce the amount. I did not use white chocolate, instead just used the semi-sweet and I'm sure they tasted just as good. Baking 20 minutes seemed a bit too long, I would start checking them after 15 because they start browning early and that makes for easy over baking.

This is a simple yet amazing recipe. I had semisweet chocolate bars, so i substituted the white chocolate with that and it was simply amazing.

Love this recipe! My 18yr old son can make this in his sleep! We absolutely love this recipe because it goes well either as an after dinner treat or as dessert at a fancy dinner party.

I never made macaroons before. The recipe was easy and my husband loved them and asked me to make more.

This is a great recipe...very easy to make and yummy to eat! I do not have the problem with the cookie running on the sheet. It may be because I am using a stand mixer and not mixing it by hand.

I have prepared this recipe several times and have had to send most of them home with my grandchildren (otherwise, I would have PLOWED thru them myself). These are so good, the right combination of flavors, delicious!!!
