  • Mix water, 2 Tbsp. sugar and salt until sugar and salt are dissolved. Pour over chops in resealable plastic bag. Seal bag; turn to evenly coat chops with brine. Refrigerate 1 hour. Meanwhile, mix remaining sugar and seasonings.
  • Heat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chops from brine; discard bag and brine. Coat chops evenly with seasoning mixture.
  • Grill 5 to 6 min. on each side or until done (145ºF), brushing with barbecue sauce for the last few minutes. Remove from grill. Let stand 3 min.

Substitute

Prepare using BULL'S-EYE Original Barbecue Sauce.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh my, these were good! Oh my, these were good! We didn't even use the BBQ sauce, because the rub was so tasty. We found that about 4 1/2 minutes per side for 1" chops was perfect, but we're also using a baby gas BBQ that may have the grates closer to the heat than a bigger BBQ would. I used an instant read thermometer to check temp. Will definitely be making this again!

Had brined chicken before, this was so much easier. The chops were so tender and juicy; coleslaw was the perfect side. Will make again and again!!
