Luscious sour cream and cottage cheese lend extra creaminess to this favorite cheddar and pasta casserole. A cornflake topping adds delicious crunch.

what you need

cups  (8 oz.) elbow macaroni, uncooked
1
container  (16 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
1
pkg.  (8 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1
cup  BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN 2% Milkfat Low Fat Cottage Cheese
1/2
tsp.  salt
1/4
tsp.  pepper
1
cup  corn flakes
1
Tbsp.  butter, melted

Make It

COOK macaroni as directed on package; drain. Return to pan. Add sour cream, cheeses, salt and pepper; mix lightly.

SPOON into 2-quart casserole. Top with corn flakes; drizzle with butter.

BAKE at 375°F for 30 minutes or until heated through.

Substitute
Prepare as directed, using KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheese and BREAKSTONE'S Reduced Fat or KNUDSEN Light Sour Cream.
Special Extra
Add 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper with the salt and black pepper to give this mac and cheese some kick!
