Rated 3 out of 5 by from This recipe was good straight out of the pot. This recipe was good straight out of the pot. It was creamy and cheesy (I added more cheddar cheese). I recommend serving it then. The Mac and Cheeses was ruined after it was baked. The noodles were overdone and the sauce was gone. The texture was mush. Both of my kids hated it. I ended up throwing it away. :(

I didn't have any cottage cheese so I used 1/4 cup crumbled blue and some Monterey jack. Added a bit of dijon too. I think next time I will cover it for the first half of heating if it is not still warm from the pot. This would be good with a layer of French fried onions and shredded parmesan on top. Next time!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy Mac and Cheese recipe that is easy to take to potlucks. Very easy Mac and Cheese recipe that is easy to take to potlucks. I always get great comments on it. I add a bit more cheddar than the recipe calls for, I like it a bit cheesier. I like it even better as leftovers, I think the flavors meld better.
