squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate

pretzel rods

cups fruit-flavored sweetened rice cereal

Make It

PLACE chocolate in 1-cup glass measuring cup. Microwave as directed on package. Cool 5 min.

DIP pretzels halfway into chocolate, tilting cup to evenly coat each pretzel. Scrape off excess chocolate. Holding pretzels over plate, immediately sprinkle with cereal. Place in shallow waxed paper-lined pan.

REFRIGERATE 15 min. or until chocolate coating is firm.

Variations

Prepare as directed, using one of the following options: Chocolate: Coat pretzels with melted chocolate as directed. Sprinkle with 8 finely crushed OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies instead of the cereal. White Chocolate: Substitute 6 oz. BAKER'S Premium White Chocolate for the semi-sweet chocolate. Sprinkle coated pretzels with 8 finely crushed OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies instead of the cereal. Chocolate-Peanut Butter: Stir 3 Tbsp. peanut butter into the melted chocolate before using to coat pretzels. Sprinkle with 8 finely crushed OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies instead of the cereal.

Substitute

Prepare as directed, substituting 2-1/2 cups finely chopped PLANTERS Dry Roasted Peanuts or 8 finely crushed NUTTER BUTTER Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies for the cereal.

I made these with white chocolate and the fruity krispies. They were "fairy wands" for a fairy themed party. So cute and fun!

I made these for a festive, colorful "bite size" surprise for a community function. Kids and adults alike loved the sweet and salty bites in combination with the chocolate. It was time consuming to make, but we took turns with dipping. Few left overs, which were easily stored in a ziplock bag and saved for another snack time.

I did this recipe at my daughter's daycare class (3-4 year olds)as a Christmas Holiday project. It was a huge success. Even her teacher wanted to incorporate this for next year's holiday project. This is an especially good project for this age group, too!! Thanks!!

This recipe is so easy. My 12 yr old daughter and her friends had a lot of fun making this as well as eating them. They managed to save some and decorate them with ribbons to give away as gifts.

My kids made this just before the holidays and loved doing it. I heated the chocolate and then let them go.

My sister and I have 10 year old daughters that wanted to help with Thankgiving preparations so we decided to give them the task of making these pretzels. They had so much fun and they tasted great, too. They made the confetti kind and also used the white chocolate with crushed oreos. AWESOME!! We now have a new tradition.
