Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So good! So good! It's the first time I've seen my husband close his eyes and become speechless after tasting his food. I did double up on the oats, butter, cinnamon and sugar for the topping because I had so many apple slices that it didn't look like it would distribute evenly enough. Next time I will still use as many oats, sugar and cinnamon but I will only use the recommended amount of butter. I also used low-fat cinnamon flavored graham crackers instead of the wafers (8 sqrs.). Great and easy recipe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just made this recipe for our dessert tonight and it was wonderful! I just made this recipe for our dessert tonight and it was wonderful! I love Apple Crisp and this is equally as good. My son's favorite dessert is Apple Crisp but he lives in Maine so I will send the recipe to hhis wife. She will be pleased at how simple it is to prepare and I know my son will love it. One person that rated this recipe said it seemed it didn't make enough so she will double it next time, I can understand that. Something that delicious WOULDN'T be big enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tonight was my first night making this, and it was great! Tonight was my first night making this, and it was great!! My husband likes apple crisp, so I tried this and he loves it. I added a little more cinn & brown sugar to the top b4 baking it, and that gave it a little more zip to it. It takes some time to peel, core, & cut the apples, but the end result is well worth it. I couldn't even wait till it cooled down b4 dipping in. It was excellent, I will make it probably once a week =).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is so nice to finally find a healthy desert that tastes good! It is so nice to finally find a healthy desert that tastes good! My family loves this and as soon as it makes it to the table, its gone! I have also made this using pears instead of apples. I love making pear pie but don't love all of the fat and cholesterol the crust provides, so this way I get my pear pie but in a different version. I would definately recommend making this, its easy and a nice alternative to cake and chocolate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made this recipe twice since receiving my Food and Family magazine. I have made this recipe twice since receiving my Food and Family magazine. Because my husband and I are diabetics, I made it with splenda brown sugar. The second time I made it I only used 1/8 cup of splenda brown sugar and 1/8 cup of splenda on the apples. I also added 2/3 cup of craisins and the zest of one orange. Both times it was a real treat. My husband loves it and so do I.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was delicious and easy to make. This recipe was delicious and easy to make. My 10-year-old did most of the work so it is very easy :-) The first time I made it, I just had golden delicious apples. It lacked the tartness of the granny smith apples, which I tried the next time. That definitely did the trick. I so really delicious when it is warm with vanilla ice cream - yummmmm!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is always a "keeper" when it is so easy to make and everyone loves it. It is always a "keeper" when it is so easy to make and everyone loves it. Especilly those people you are feeding are bunch of women who loves good food. And... if you are trying to impress them at the Arbonne Skin Care class at your house. Rather than using the recipe for one, I've add an extra 1/2 batch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was VERY good although I miss read the recipe and didn't peel the apples. This was VERY good although I miss read the recipe and didn't peel the apples. Honestly, I really liked it that way. Also, I will probably drop the sugar down a bit next time. It was a bit too sweet for me. All in all.... I really liked this and will be making it this weekend for a potluck I'm attending.
