Cool Mint OREO Cookie Balls

What You Need

oz. (3/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

pkg. (15.25 oz.) OREO Cool Mint Creme Cookies, finely crushed (about 4 cups)

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S White Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted

drops green food coloring

Tbsp. chocolate sprinkles

Make It

MIX cream cheese and cookie crumbs until well blended.

SHAPE into 40 (1-inch) balls; place in single layer in shallow pan. Freeze 10 min. Mix melted chocolate and food coloring until well blended. Dip balls in chocolate; place in single layer in shallow waxed paper-lined pan. Top with sprinkles.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm. Keep refrigerated.

These are really, really good. Easy and so dainty! I am only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because I only got 38 balls (with a small 1 inch scoop) and I ran out of chocolate! I tried to melt down 6 ounces of white chips (what a failure), but fortunately I had some 4 oz of semi-sweet chocolate which finished the job. Should the amount of chocolate be increased? I sprinkled mine with green sugar and they were amazing.

Made these with my 11 year old for Christmas. They were so good and so easy. We didn't color the chocolate, just left it white and decorated them with green sprinkles. May make these every year.

these were so easy and so yummy. i have done a lot of work with chocolate before. so here is a tip: freeze the balls after shaping them for a little. then melt the white chocolate on a low temp and add just a little bit of oil to it. this will also help make them shiney!

Outstanding and very easy recipe. Next time I will try it with reduced fat cream cheese and 8 oz instead of 6 oz. Other Oreo cookie ball recipes call for 8 oz - I wondered why this one didn;t use 8 oz?? Another tip for dipping - use a plastic fork with the middle tines removed. SUPER easy with little mess.

I also made the regular Oreo Truffles today and found them to be much easier because of the chocolate dip. Using the white chocolate with green food coloring allows for specks of the dark colored cookie balls to get mixed up/melted in when covering them. Using the dark chocolate to cover the balls looks much nicer -- if I make these again, I'll probably just use the dark chocolate instead of the green/white chocolate.

I made this for a St. Patrick's Day party and everyone loved them! I should have made a double batch because they disappeared so fast! I will definitely make this recipe again.

These cookies were a hit at my son's Christmas party. Two things I suggest... 1) after molding the cookie balls, refrigerate for 30-45 minutes before coating with chocolate and 2) research how to melt chocolate before you start. Other than that they were great!
