What You Need

2/3

cup boiling water

pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin

Ice cubes

1/2

cup cold water

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)

Make It

ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add enough ice to cold water to measure 1 cup. Add to gelatin; stir until slightly thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Whisk in COOL WHIP until blended. Refrigerate 15 to 20 min. or until mixture is thick enough to mound.

SPOON into crust.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm.

How to Stir COOL WHIP into Gelatin

Spoon COOL WHIP into slightly thickened gelatin, using the amount of COOL WHIP specified in the recipe. Gently stir the COOL WHIP into the gelatin until all the COOL WHIP has been incorporated and mixture is a uniform pastel color. Use this method in any recipe that calls for folding or gently stirring one ingredient into another.

I remember when this recipe was first introduced in the 1970's, my mom made it for me when I was a little girl. It was and still is the best summer pie ever

My mom taught me how to make this years & years ago. It has become a holiday tradition. Everyone expects to have this pie @ Thanksgiving & Christmas. It is very versatile. You can use different flavors of jell-o, one of my favorites is lime. Also if you use a chocolate graham crust with cherry jell-o it tastes like a chocolate covered cherry. Sugar-free jell-o tends to set better than regular for whatever reason. It is a delicious and easy dessert one of my family's favorites!

I have just made this, but like some of the others, I can't get it to set up, not sure if it was the cold water, I think I may have put to much cold water in it. I will make it again, just to see if I can make it right, it looks good, something that would be a cool dessert.

This is one of the most refreshing desserts to bring to a summer bbq! It is always a big hit. I put strawberries, blueberries or both on top, and it always gets rave reviews. So easy, so delicious for adults and kids alike!

I made this with sugar free jello and sugar free cool whip for my diabetic husband. I also drizzled the top with T. Marzetti sugar free strawberry glaze and sliced strawberries. Everyone loved it and could not believe it was sugar free.

This is a very easy recipe to make for summmer dessert, add fresh strawberries and it is great!

Easy, quick, cool and refreshing. It set up nicely and was a very impressive dessert for how simple it is. I used sugar free raspberry jello and lite cool whip to save on some calories, and you wouldn't have known the difference.

The jell-o/cool whip mixture never thickened up enough to put into the pie crust. It was way too runny and made a huge mess. I waited over an hour to try to put the mixture into the crust and finally just threw it all away because it was a disaster. :(

This is my go-to for a quick and easy dessert. It's light and refreshing, and it's fun to pick from all of the different kinds of jell-o. You could make this pie a dozen times and not repeat a flavor.
