What You Need

cups fresh strawberries, divided

2/3

cup boiling water

pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin

Ice cubes

1/2

cup cold water

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping, thawed

ready-to-use reduced-fat graham cracker crumb crust (6 oz.)

Make It

SLICE 1 cup strawberries; refrigerate for later use. Chop remaining berries; set side. Add boiling water to gelatin mix; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add enough ice to cold water to make 1 cup. Add to gelatin; stir until slightly thickened. Remove any unmelted ice.

WHISK in COOL WHIP. Stir in chopped berries. Refrigerate 20 to 30 min. or until mixture is very thick and will mound. Spoon into crust.

REFRIGERATE 6 hours or until firm. Top with sliced berries.

I had lots of strawberries that I needed to use quickly. I searched Kraft and found the recipe for Strawberry Chiffon Pie, which is very similar to this recipe. It had lime zest and lime juice, too and that really added to the flavor. But you had to chill for at least 2 hours before you could pour it into the pie crust. I added chopped walnuts, too, as we love nuts in anything. So, to all you people trying this recipe...let it chill at least 2 hours.

I followed instructions to the letter on this pie and it didn't hold shape at all. I made sure all of the jello dissolved and it still wasn't thickened enough. Maybe the ice cubes melted to much and the jello became too watery. I won't be making this again

Fast and very easy to make...Very good,,,made it with suger-free jello and fat-free cool whip.

I have made this a few times and it is always a hit! Great for parties and for just me and my hubby! :) I think I will make it again for Easter weekend!

Subsituted Pie Crust with lowfat crust and used sugar-free jello. Still had a very good taste.

I am not a very good cook. But this was easy, and turned out great. I have now made it twice, and plan to make it again! Thanks!

My son loves this pie...I switch up the fruit and jello flavors all the time. For those that had a hard time with it setting, when adding the ice water stir the mixture at least 2 mins...sometimes I add a few extra ice cubes to help it get thick quicker (then remove extra ice cubes)
