I did not add the 1/2 cup cold water, instead I put the gelatin mixture into a measuring cup and added enough ice cubes to equal 1 cup. Let the ice cubes melt, removed the ones that didn't and transfered the liquid to a mixing bowl large enough to add the cool whip to. After mixing in the cool whip, I added about 2 cups of the chopped fresh strawberries vs. only using 1 cup. Put that mixture in the fridge for about 45 minutes to set and then spooned into the Oreo pie crust. Then topped with sliced strawberries and put back in the fridge to continue setting over night. Took it to my in-law's house and it was a hit! I will definitely make this pie again and again!

The gelatin mixture did not mold. It tastes good but I was definitely disappointed with the consistency. Any ideas? I followed all the directions?? :( Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Mary It's very important to use correct water amounts. Using too much water will result in a loose consistency. Also, be sure to thoroughly dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water before adding the cold water and ice cubes. Undissolved gelatin will also result in a loose set.

I have made it several times then, but for the last 15 years I lost the recipe and was happy to find it on your website. It has always been one of my quick, easy and, most importantly, delicious dessert. My friends and family can't get enough when I prepare this dessert. During this strawberry season I have made it my goal to make it every week. I will be bringing it to Church, Work and all social gatherings I will be attending during the summer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be passing down this recipe to my two daughters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Delicious This recipe is so easy and delicious. We have been making it for years as a nice, light dessert, especially when strawberries are in season. For those who have trouble with it, I would recommend the following....check your Jello Box. The box of sugar free jello contains less than an ounce of powder as opposed to the regular which has 3 ounces of powder. Use more ice than water when measuring the cold water portion of the recipe. You can always scoop out the remaining ice. Make sure you refrigerate the mixture before you put it into the pie shell. That way, you can check for consistency. Enjoy!!!

For those having trouble with it being too thin or not setting up- add more ice than water to the jello, and let it almost totally set up then mix with the cool whip and just mix like you are folding egg whites- gentle so you don't lose then fluff of the thawed cool whip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great recipe! Great recipe!! Was all pumped about making it so you can imaging my disappointment when I had no strawberry Jello. No worries I had raspberry so I suppose I made a COOL N' EASY TWO BERRIES PIE. What ever you might call the pie easy is the operative word. BTW thanks for the coupons, next time I am at the store I can get 3 boxes of Jello for money off. Last time I went grocery shopping I saved $42.13 with coupons many were printed right here on this site.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Am I crazy? Am I crazy? I followd these measurements. I couldn't find one 3 oz. Pkg of jello at my store. The boxes i found were .6 oz., meaning it took 5 boxes of jello to make 3 oz. Maybe those who make jello often would have realized the problem, but I only knew something was wrong by the way it set up. INSTANTANIOUSLY! I ended up with chunks of the foulest tasting sweet-sour artificial tasting filling ever. The only redeeming thing was that it was so bad we all had a great laugh (at my expense.) Someone fix the quantity of jello, please.
