  • Add 1 tub COOL WHIP to melted chocolate; whisk until blended. Cut cake into 3 layers; stack on plate, spreading chocolate filling between layers.

Size-Wise

Sweets can be part of a balanced diet but remember to keep tabs on portions.

Easy Cleanup

For easy cleanup, the cake is made and baked in the same bowl.

How to Make Chocolate Curls

Warm chocolate slightly by heating it in the microwave for a few seconds until you can just smudge the chocolate with your thumb. Hold the chocolate steadily between your thumb and fingers of one hand and draw a vegetable peeler slowly over flat bottom of chocolate piece. Allow a thin layer of chocolate to curl as it is peeled off the bottom. This will make long delicate curls. To make short curls, use the same technique on the narrow sides of the chocolate piece. To arrange curls on a dessert, use a toothpick to lift them into place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this recipe for my parents anniversary and everyone loved it! I made this recipe for my parents anniversary and everyone loved it! My mother in law and my husband have requested it for their birthday cake! I have found that adding the whipped topping to the melted chocolate and whisking together a little at a time seems to mix better and look like the picture. The unique shape of the cake is fantastic too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to make and the presentation was wonderful. Very easy to make and the presentation was wonderful. Made it for a Christmas party and it was easy to transport. The guests couldn't wait to cut in to it and the kids were glad that there was some left for them to enjoy. Very delicious and moist. Just like the fancy cakes you buy at the grocery store but so much better.

I followed the instructions to the letter but found that the cake was extremely hard to get out of the bowl even after I let it cool for the 10 minutes as instructed and I did spray the bowl once out of the bowl it came together good but if you're not careful getting it out it could crack in spots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing! amazing! I was worried that this cake would be too rich but with the cool whip it was perfect! I also added one cup of devils food chocolate pudding to my cake mix so the cake layer was extra moist! I would not do it any other way! It was a huge success at our family dinner

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very tasty. Very tasty. Had a hard time with the bottom of the cake that puffed up in the bowl in the oven. Had to trim to make flat. Would use a lot more cool whip if I made it again so there was more for the filling and more for frosting easier.
