  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in medium bowl.
  • Beat remaining ingredients in large bowl with mixer until blended. (Dough will be thick and sticky.) Use 2 small spoons to drop dough, 2 tsp. at a time, into sugar mixture; toss until dough is evenly coated with sugar mixture.
  • Place dough, 2 inches apart, on parchment-covered baking sheets.
  • Bake 13 to 15 min. or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheet 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

If I ran out of copies I told them where to get the recipe. I started only making two batches but ended up making 6 batches with another to be made for block Xmas party.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a Snickerdoodle, not even close These an all right but not wonderful cake like cookie that is rolled in cinnamon sugar. That cinnamon sugar coating is only part of what makes a snickerdoodle a snickerdoodle. If the cookie is not leavened with cream of tartar, it can not be called a snickerdoodle. So let's stop calling various butter and sugar cookies snickerdoodles if the do not contain cream of tartar but are merely rolled in cinnamon suagr before baking.
