Cool Yogurt Smoothie Recipe

What You Need

1

container (6 oz.) strawberry low-fat yogurt

1-3/4

cups thawed COOL WHIP FREE Whipped Topping, divided

2

cups fresh strawberries

2

cups ice cubes

Make It

BLEND yogurt, 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP and strawberries in blender until smooth.

ADD ice; blend on high speed until thickened.

POUR into glasses; top with remaining COOL WHIP. Serve immediately.

Make Ahead

Smoothie can be made ahead of time. Refrigerate up to 24 hours, or freeze up to 1 week. Re-blend before serving. If smoothie was frozen, thaw 20 min. to soften slightly before blending.

Variation

Prepare using your favorite flavor yogurt, regular COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and/or frozen strawberries or any other cut-up seasonal fruit.

To Halve

Prepare as directed, cutting all ingredients in half. Makes 2 servings, 1 cup each.

Too thick for the blender, I had to add about 1/2 cup of milk. It had a very mild, watered down taste. I think too much ice added.

I liked it more than my 7 year old son but I think adding some extra cool whip would help. Next time he wants to try blueberry.

This was an excellent smoothie. It was really quick and easy to make. I will agree with another reviewer that said suggested adding more cool whip. If you like strawberries, you'll love this.

This recipe is DELISH! It's a GREAT way to get calcium into your body as well as into your kids' bodies-not to mention the other all-important Vitamin C! So I would DEFINITELY recommend this recipe for EVERYONE!

I used frozen mixed berries and it was a little too thick, so next time if I don't have fresh berries I will let the frozen ones thaw first.

Of all of the smoothies I have been experimenting with, this is probably the best of them all. But, if it wasn't for the cool whip, I probably wouldn't like it as much.
