Corn and Sausage Stuffing

Cornbread stuffing mix is mixed with pork sausage and corn for a tasty side dish that's great for everyday meals or holiday entertaining.

What You Need

1/2

lb. pork sausage

1-2/3

cups hot water

pkg. (10 oz.) frozen corn, thawed, drained

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Cornbread Stuffing Mix

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BROWN sausage in skillet; drain, reserving 1/4 cup drippings.

MIX sausage, reserved drippings, hot water and corn in 1-1/2-qt. casserole. Stir in stuffing mix just until moistened. Cover.

BAKE 30 min. or until heated through (160°F).

Shortcut

To quickly thaw frozen corn, microwave for half the microwave-cooking time listed on the package. This should thaw the corn without cooking it.

I used can corn and added 2 large, already cooked potatoes and it turned out Great! I made this for my church group and everyone wanted the recipe!!

My kids are SOOO picky but they LOVED this, they thanked me over and over and said I need to make this dish ALL the time. Quick, easy, and not any leftover.

WOW! Substituted a spicy sausage, used regular Stove Top for Chicken, and also added about 1/2 cup of diced onion and 1/3 cup diced celery. Turned out great! My husband, who isn't a Stove Top fan, thought it was "a keeper". Thanks for the idea!

Great twist on ordinary stuffing. The pickiest eaters were pleased with this.

This was very good!! I wasn't sure if it would turn out dry because of the stuffing, but it was very tasty!

Doubled the sausage,used canned corn,used regular stuffing,added mushrooms,celery and onions. It was great!

taste like homemade and so much easier than from scratch. I can't wait until thanksgiving to bring this dish with me. So much more tasty than just plain stuffing.
