  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine meat and 1/2 cup of the spaghetti sauce; spread evenly into greased deep 9-inch pie plate.
  • Mix remaining sauce with rice; spoon over meat. Sprinkle with Velveeta; cover with foil.
  • Bake 25 min. Remove foil. Continue baking, uncovered, 15 min. Let stand 10 min. Carefully drain off any fat, then cut into 6 wedges to serve.

Great Substitute

Substitute 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese, divided, for the VELVEETA. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the cheese over rice mixture in pie pan; cover with foil. Bake 25 min. Remove foil; sprinkle with remaining 3/4 cup cheese and continue baking, uncovered, 15 min.

Cooking Know-How

To prevent cheese from sticking to foil, spray foil with cooking spray.

Don't think people followed the instructions correctly. Pre-heat the oven and the meat will be cooked. How do you think Meatloaf is cooked? Rice was cooked fine and sauce was just enough. SEASON the beef as it is dry and bland otherwise...

My family loves this, and it is sooo easy to make!

I added some onion, green pepper and 1 clove garlic (minced) to the meat. Think the rice needs maybe 1/2 c. more spaghetti sauce added to it. Good flavor and very quick!
