  • Mix first 3 ingredients until well blended.
  • Thread meat onto 18 skewers; place onion or pepper strip at end of each skewer. Place kabobs in shallow glass dish. Pour steak sauce mixture over kabobs. Refrigerate 1 hour to marinate, turning occasionally.
  • Heat grill to medium heat. Remove kabobs from marinade; discard marinade. Grill kabobs 4 to 6 min. or until meat is done, turning occasionally.

Use Your Broiler

Broil kabobs, 6 inches from heat, 4 to 6 min. or until meat is done, turning occasionally.

Note

If using wooden skewers, soak skewers in water for 30 min. before using to assemble kabobs to prevent them from burning on the grill.

Substitute

Substitute a green pepper for the red pepper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We really enjoyed this change of pace steak on the grill! We really enjoyed this change of pace steak on the grill! Excellent flavor and easy to prepare. We don't like round steak though, so next time we make it, I'm going to choose another cut of steak, such as sirloin. Other than that, this would have to be one of the best new recipes I've tried all summer! My husband and I are like the Epert & Roper when it comes to rating new recipes...we both gave this a TWO thumbs up and are looking forward to sharing this with company for dinner soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I first tasted this about 5 years ago in the grocery store. I first tasted this about 5 years ago in the grocery store. The woman who was serving the samples recommended that for an easy change I could saute everything in a skillet and serve over rice. That's exactly what I do. My family loves it! I think I'll try it with brown rice to boost the nutrition and fiber. I'm sure it will be just as tasty!

My better half LOVES A-1 - I have this sauce all made up and in the fridge so he can use it on what ever he cookin'up. I tried the sauce as soon as the recipe arrived in my mail box, so I could have it ready as a suprise when he got home from 12 hours in his truck. He is delighted ! Thanks - this one is really a winner !

For less tender cuts, I recommend brushing with Kitchen Bouquet before brushing on the recipe sauce. It doesn't add flavor, but it tenderizes fantastically and helps seal in meat juices. Also, alternate with par-boiled potatoes, peppers, cherry tomatoes and pieces of pineapple. A whole meal on a stick!

I liked the fact that it didn't have to marinate long and was quick to put together. I added mushrooms, yellow onions and yellow, red, and orange bell peppers. Next time I may add pineapple.

However, I'm going to put more peppers, onion and mushrooms on separate "sticks" because I find the veggies cook much faster than the meat.
