  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Mix reduced-fat cream cheese and bacon until blended.
  • Separate each can of dough into 8 triangles; cut each triangle lengthwise in half. Spread each dough piece with 1 generous tsp. cream cheese mixture. Roll up, starting at shortest side of triangle.
  • Place, point sides down, on baking sheet.
  • Bake 12 to 15 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm.

How to Safely Store Bacon

Store unopened packages of bacon in the refrigerator until the “Use by Date” stamped on the package. Once opened, wrap tightly and refrigerate up to 1 week. To freeze bacon, wrap the unopened, vacuum-sealed package tightly in freezer-safe material, then freeze up to 1 month. Thaw in refrigerator before using.

Variation

For a sweet version, prepare using PHILADELPHIA Strawberry 1/3 Less Fat than Cream Cheese, and substituting 3 Tbsp. chopped PLANTERS Walnuts for the bacon.

I was really excited about making it, because I just got married and I'm pretty new at cooking. So I was thinking that this would be an excellent appetizer to serve before dinner, or take to someones house as a guest, but it was horriable, and my husband told me to never make it again. Since I'm new in the kitchen I follow recipes exactly as they are printed, so I don't know if there is something that could be added to make this particular recipe taste better or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I unrolled the cresents and made 8 instead of 16. I unrolled the cresents and made 8 instead of 16. I used 8 oz. cream cheese, about 3 tbls bacon bits and cut 2 thin sliced slices of deli smoked cooked ham. I warmed the cream cheese in the microwave about 10 seconds to make this misture easier to blend. I spread the mix on the cresents, rolled them and sprinkled Parm. Cheese on top. I baked them at 375 for about 18 minutes. Delicious!

I never have any left and people ask for more! Admittedly, these don't keep very well but you can microwave them to restore the fresh-baked gooey cheesy goodness since they taste much better when fresh baked. This is also a super easy recipe you can throw together quickly for a pot-luck or party and know it will be a hit. It's hard not to eat them all yourself beforehand. Yum!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was looking for a simple recipe and this is it! I was looking for a simple recipe and this is it! After breakfast I cut up and fried the rest of the bacon. Later that day I mixed it in cream cheese. I made it ahead and just popped it in the oven when guests arrived. I was skeptical as I thought the cheese would melt out. These were fantastic. This is the easist appetizer I have ever made. I will always have ingredients for this in my fidge for company. It was a hit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Everyone loves these - best served warm. Everyone loves these - best served warm. The first time I made them exactly like the recipe stated. I wasn't sure about the chive/onion cream chesse, but to my surprise...Yummy! I've also made them with plain cream cheese and added minced onion/garlic salt. I recommend using Oscar Mayer Real Bacon Bits (in a bag), it saves time and a mess. Very easy and fast to make!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made these for parties and always a hit. I have made these for parties and always a hit. Can be a bit laborous for a huge crowd but worth it when you see your guest enjoying the fruits of your labor. I had my boyfriend make them for a work party he had and everyone raved about them. Dough is best to work with if its cold, letting it sit out only makes the it unmanagable. Try it, you won't regret it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I made this one day before lunch. I made this one day before lunch. My mom thought they were good but she doesn't like cream cheese well and would have used less of it and added more bacon. I however, liked the cream cheese but was disgusted by the bacon. I MIGHT try this again but if I do I will use some cooked ham instead of the bacon and maybe add some chopped green onion to give it a boost.
