What You Need

slices OSCAR MAYER Center Cut Bacon, chopped

medium onion, chopped

can (14-1/2 oz.) chicken broth

cups elbow macaroni, uncooked

cups assorted vegetables, such as broccoli florets, pepper strips, carrot slices, mushroom slices, peas and/or zucchini slices

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed

Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Make It

COOK bacon in large skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet; set aside. Add onion to drippings in skillet; cook and stir until tender.

ADD 1 cup water, chicken broth and macaroni to skillet; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Simmer 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender.

ADD vegetables and cream cheese. Cook until cream cheese is melted and mixture is heated through, stirring frequently. Sprinkle with bacon and Parmesan cheese.

Serve with a crisp, mixed green salad and a cut-up fresh pineapple.

Substitute

Substitute 1 pkg. (16 oz.) thawed and drained frozen mixed vegetables for the cut-up fresh vegetables.

I made this as the recipe called for, and added a splash of milk at the end to make the sauce creamier. If I made this again, I would definitely use more bacon and maybe even shredded chicken, or chicken bouillon. Maybe I'll even try the cooking cremes in the cream cheese section, since the sauce was a little bland, even after I added salt and pepper.

Bland. I added chicken seasoned with salt & pepper. Needs something for flavor!

I've made this alot. I double the cream cheese and lb of bacon. Mushrooms and baby spinach are our fav veggies

I used beef broth as that is what I had on hand, frozen vegetables in a cheese sauce, some roasted garlic seasoning and it was very good; not dry at all. Would definitely make again.

Loved it, next time I wont make so much on the noodle side it came out a little dry.

My kids LOVED this! I doubled the recipe (we love leftovers especially in the summer) and, of course, I had to do something a little different. I added cubed chicken breasts and fresh parsley from my garden. For the veggies, I added a bag of frozen broccoli and another of mixed veggies. I did add some salt as it did seem a little bland, but it turned out wonderful! Definatly a keeper!!

This recipe was good, but it sure needed more BACON! i added monterey jack cheese which made it very delicious and cheesier:) You guys should try it with shredded cheese!

The flavor was good, but it was dry. I would add a lot more broth.
