Slices of Italian bread do dessert duty in this chocolatey panini—a simple but clever adaptation of the restaurant favorite, Bananas Foster.

What You Need

oz.  (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
Tbsp.  brown sugar
cup  chopped bananas
oz.  (1/2 of 4-oz. pkg.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, finely chopped
 (1/2-inch-thick) Italian bread slices (1/2 of 8-inch round loaf)
Tbsp.  butter, melted

Make It

HEAT panini grill.

MIX cream cheese and sugar in medium bowl until blended. Stir in bananas and chocolate; spread onto 4 bread slices. Cover with remaining bread slices.

BRUSH both sides of sandwiches with butter.

GRILL 2 min. or until golden brown. Cut in half.

Prepare as directed, omitting chocolate and substituting 1/2 cup well-drained canned crushed pineapple for the bananas.
If You Don't Have a Panini Grill
Heat large skillet on medium heat. Add sandwiches, in batches if necessary; cook 2 min. on each side or until golden brown on both sides, gently pressing down tops of sandwiches with spatula to flatten slightly as they cook.
