Omit mushrooms. Prepare as directed, adding 3 cups fresh or frozen cut-up vegetables along with the noodles.
For easier handling, partially freeze the steak before cutting it into strips.
Add 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce to the cooked meat mixture along with the broth, mushrooms and noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Made this with recipe ingredients except: I brought everything to a boil as directed and moved everything to a preheated slow cooker for 1 1/2 hours. I needed the food to be portable to book ****. The recipe was a hit and putting it into the slow cooker worked great. I will make this again.
Family loved it. I added the Worcestershire sauce plus garlic, salt, pepper, ground mustard and a hint of cayenne to spice it up. This time around I subbed ground beef for the steak and left out the mushrooms. I will make this again.
