  • Bring 2 qt. water to boil in large saucepan. Add chayotes; boil 6 min. or until tender. Drain chayotes, then cover to keep warm.
  • Heat dressing in medium saucepan. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 3 min. Add flour; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Cook 2 min., stirring constantly. Add 2% milk, evaporated milk and seasonings; mix well. Cook 3 min., stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low. Add sour cream; stir until well blended. (Do not boil.) Remove from heat.
  • Place chayotes in serving bowl. Add the sour cream sauce; toss to coat.
