This recipe is delicious! It's hard to find dishes my husband really loves, but this is one! A few things I did differently after reading the comments. First, I used fresh broccoli that I steamed. I think this helped cut down on some of the water, some were complaining about. Second, I used a jalape?o cheddar that I shredded myself. It added just a tiny kick and a TON of flavor! Definitely an easy meal to make again and again.
I tweaked this recipe a bit to suit what I had on hand. I used frozen mixed veg, I didn't have the cooking cream so I made my own by adding a a couple of ounces of chicken stock to 8 oz of cream cheese, heat and whisk together. I then added garlic powder to it. It came out really good. I mixed the milk together with the cream cheese mixture and poured it over the chicken, cheese and veg. I had the issue with the excess water but I just stirred the chicken before adding the crumbs. I didn't have ritz so I used panko instead. It was quite the hit with the family. Would definitely make this again.
