  • Cook gnocchi as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, cook bacon in large skillet on medium-high heat 2 min. Add mushrooms, onions and garlic; cook and stir 5 to 6 min. or until vegetables are tender. Add Neufchatel and broth; cook 2 to 3 min. or until Neufchatel is melted, stirring constantly.
  • Drain gnocchi. Add to sauce in skillet with pepper; stir gently to evenly coat pasta. Cook 2 to 3 min. or until heated through, stirring constantly. Stir in basil. Serve topped with Parmesan.

Special Extra

Garnish with additional basil leaves just before serving.


Substitute 1/2 cup packed baby spinach leaves for the basil.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a crisp, mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Light Dressing.

    I come from a very Italian family with lots of good cooks and as a newly married woman am working on my culinary skills.. This recipe was easy and tasty. The best part was that my husband enjoyed it and he is a pretty picky eater! I added a little left over asparagus also which went nicely with the other flavors. Wouldn't serve this to my Italian father, but certainly a good option for busy weeknights!

    Me, my husband, and our 18 month old all LOVED this recipe! I couldn't find cremini mushrooms so I just got some regular ones. Also didn't have frozen gnocchi but found some in the pasta section and all they had atm was mini (same thing, just smaller). Doubled the sauce to make it a little more soup-like and it was delicious! On a fun side, the red onion seems to have tinted the sauce a slight pink. :)

    I used a half cup of Italian Kraft cooking cream instead of cream cheese. Easier melting and great flavor. I will definitely make this again.
