I made the recipe with the following changes based on tips from other reviews and what I had on hand. I used celery and onion (probably about 1/2 the amount called for) and no green pepper. I used 4 oz cream cheese, a can of cream of chicken soup, a can of milk and 1/4 cup of parmesan in the sauce. I didn't measure the ham, just put in some leftover ham cut into cubes until it looked like enough. I cooked 6 oz egg noodles. I mixed it all together and put it in a casserole dish and topped it with crushed Ritz crackers mixed with 1/4 cup parmesan. The results were a creamy, flavorful dish that my entire family loved! I will definitely make this again and will probably add some corn just to get some veggies into my kids!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super simple & very inexpensive! Super simple & very inexpensive! I had all ingredients on hand (BONUS!) and used leftover ham from yesterday's Easter dinner. I made a few changes, based on some other reviews: added 1/2 c. frozen peas, decreased cream cheese to 4 oz. and added 1 can crm of celery soup (omited chopped celery), using only 1/2 c. milk; I also crushed up some garlic cheese croutons (fine) and mixed that with the remaining parmesan to top the casserole. YUMMY! Even the kid ate it :o)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My family liked this recipe. My family liked this recipe. I also left out the peppers and I did not bake it. I just heated it until it was heated through. I bet this would also be good with broccoli and chicken instead of the ham. I will add this one to my recipe file to make often.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My entire family loved this, even my picky eaters. My entire family loved this, even my picky eaters. I used reduced fat cream cheese and tri-color rotini. This will be a regular menu item at our house this winter. Might also be good served cold.
