Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Heat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Microwave potatoes and water in 2-qt. covered microwaveable dish on HIGH 8 min.; drain. Add garlic and 2 Tbsp. dressing; toss to coat.
  • Spoon potato mixture onto center of large sheet heavy-duty foil sprayed with cooking spray; fold to make packet.
  • Grill 20 min. or until potatoes are tender, turning packet over after 10 min. Mix mayo and remaining dressing in large bowl. Add potatoes, bacon and onions; toss lightly. Serve warm.

Substitute

Any potatoes you have on hand-even large baking potatoes-can be used in this recipe. The key is cutting them into small uniform pieces so they'll cook evenly in just 20 min.

Creative Leftovers

Blend any leftover peeled garlic cloves with 1 cup softened butter in blender until smooth. Use rubber scraper to transfer butter mixture to airtight container. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks. Use to cook scrambled eggs or as a topping for your favorite cooked meat or sautéed vegetables.

For a SUPER quick recipe I used baby red potatoes cut in half and microwaved them for 6 mins and they were cooked through. Omited the mayo and cooked bacon that I had on hand and crumbled it. You dont need any more oil, the oil in the dressing is MORE than enough. Put potatoes in the oven for about 5-10 mins just enough to make the vinager evaporate as well as the excess water from microwaving. Super fast and less fat! Warm mayo just does not sound good and it was very tasty without it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really good! Really good! I cut the recipe in half since I was cooking for 2 and used peeled russet potatoes. Micrwaved for 4 minutes, then put on grill. I used a covered foil pan and let them cook on hi for 5 minutes, then turned off that side of the grill. After 10 minutes the meat and potatoes were done perfectly. Even my "suspicous of anything different" husband liked them. Will definately make again! Thank you Kraft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I absolutely loved this recipe, and will make it many more times in the future. I absolutely loved this recipe, and will make it many more times in the future. This is so easy and different, plus, it doesn't take that long to cook. i love grilling out, and this is a great way to make potatoes. It has a great flavor, and as the recipe states, the key is getting the potatoes cut the same size to cook evenly at the same time. Mine turned out perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have served this dish at two family cook-outs. I have served this dish at two family cook-outs. It was a big hit both times and I never have any left over. My husband would not let me cook it on HIS grill. So,I followed the recipe except that I cooked it in the oven on about 350 for an hour and 15 mins instead of grilling. This is very good!!

Since I'm diabetic & also watching fat intake, I'm going to try this recipe with turkey bacon, fat-free dressing and leaving out the green onions (don't like them) and perhaps using dell peppers instead. I like potato salad and red potatoes, so this looks like a perfect summer treat. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was simple and delicious! This was simple and delicious!!! I loved it!!! It does resemble German Potato Salad, which is my favorite, but this is much easier. I used fat free dressing and low fat mayonnaise to make it healthier. I will use this recipe over and over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! Wow! What an awesome taste and very easy to make. My husband loved it also. My 14 yr. old daughter even commented that her daddy hardly ever says that he really, really likes a dish. She was right. What an observation!
