Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Microwave cream cheese in bowl on HIGH 10 sec. to soften. Add eggs and water; beat with wire whisk until well blended. (Small pieces of cream cheese will remain.) Stir in shredded cheese and green onions.
  • Melt butter in small nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add egg mixture. Cook 3 to 4 min. or until set, lifting edge with spatula and tilting pan to allow uncooked portion to flow underneath to cook. When egg mixture is set but top is still slightly moist, slip spatula underneath omelet, tip skillet to loosen and gently fold omelet in half.
  • Slide or flip omelet onto serving plate; cut in half to serve.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a slice of whole grain bread and fresh fruit.

Substitute

Prepare as directed, using your family's favorite savory PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread.

I don't know how big the "small pieces" of cream cheese are supposed to be, but you could see and taste the cream cheese in the omlette when it was cooked. It didn't taste bad, I just don't know if that was the intention. I also had a little difficulty with the 2nd and 3rd omlettes I made. It requires that you thoroughly clean the pan between each omlette, or you will have problems with sticking. Otherwise it tasted great and was very filling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from East, few ingredients. East, few ingredients. I made this for dinner. The first stayed together and looked like an omelet using a non stick pan. The second one made in regular pan looked more like scrambled eggs but the taste was still great. I need a bigger non stick pan than the one I have to accommodate the 4 eggs.
