Ratings & Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I was looking for a fairly easy shrimp alfredo recipe as I hadn't cooked shrimp before making it. I was looking for a fairly easy shrimp alfredo recipe as I hadn't cooked shrimp before making it. Turns out it WAS really easy! That was the great part of the recipe. The reason I only give 3 stars is because while it was somewhat flavorful, the sauce pretty much got totally soacked up by the pasta and left more to be desired. I think I would try making a white sauce from scratch instead (the butter/flour/cream technique) of using cream cheese. I would also add some fun ingredients to add more flavor & texture such as mushrooms, caramelized onions and/or sundried tomatoes. Otherwise it is fairly tasty and VERY simple. Great for beginners!

I made this recipe using Neufactel cheese, light balsamic vinaigrette, the fat-free, low sodium chicken broth and whole grain linguine..... it was delish!!!! I used the entire 8 ozs. of cream cheese and increased all the other ingredients slightly because I didn't want to waste such a small amount, grabbed some garlic breadsticks from the bakery and a bag of Italian mix salad. I used the Kraft light balsamic vinaigrette & my son enjoyed the Kraft Classic Creamy dressing. We will DEFINITELY make this recipe again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just made this for dinner and it was a hit! Just made this for dinner and it was a hit! Had to tweak it a bit. I used regular instead of low sodium broth. I seasoned the shrimp with lemon pepper while it was cooking. I used the Philly lemon and herb cooking cream instead of the cream cheese cubed and I (accidentally) used Greek vinaigrette instead of Balsamic only because I wasn't paying attention when I reached for the bottle. Didn't use the extra Parmesan on top either. I also added more shrimp, approx. 1/2 lb. more. The whole pan is gone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this tonight and followed the recipe with only a couple of changes... I made this tonight and followed the recipe with only a couple of changes... I didn't have chicken broth so I used the beef that I had. And I like a lot of sauce so I made only half as much pasta. It was wonderful! But next time I will make the full amount of pasta... I think there is plenty of sauce and I want more for leftovers! Also gonna try it with chicken for my husband (tonight was just for me).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I made this for dinner and if I make it again will add more seasonings. I made this for dinner and if I make it again will add more seasonings. This dish was bland with way to much cream cheese and way to little broth. It was entirely to heavy with the cheese. My husband liked it as well as the dogs. I felt I had wasted an expensive 1/2 lb. of shrimp. Oh I used less linguine since it was for 2 people so that was not the reason for being to dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a very good recipe! This is a very good recipe! I will probably make it often. I like strong-tasting foods, so I think I'll add more salt and pepper or add red pepper flakes, as a previous comment suggested. I made my own balsamic vinaigrette since I didn't have the Kraft kind, with 1 part balsamic vinegar, 2 parts olive oil, rosemary, garlic, and freshly grated salt and pepper. Great taste!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The recipe was easy but I would not call it a true alfredo flavor...definitely could tell it was... The recipe was easy but I would not call it a true alfredo flavor...definitely could tell it was cream cheese. I gave it three stars because it is edible and not a complete waste of ingredients but I will certainly NOT be making it again. If you like shrimp alfredo, my suggestion is to stick with the original and only indulge once in awhile. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This recipe was very simple and very delicious. This recipe was very simple and very delicious. I used prepare alfredo instead of the cream cheese and added extra garlic because I love garlic and and it still turned out great. It tasted just as good as you would order in the restaurants. I will definitely make this recipe again. This recipe will go down in my favorites.
