Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix cream cheese, turkey, onions and parsley until well blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place pastry sheets on cutting board. Cut out 22 circles from each pastry sheet, using a 2-inch round cutter. Beat egg and milk with wire whisk until well blended.
  • Spoon 1 tsp. of the turkey mixture onto center of each pastry circle. Brush edge of pastry with egg mixture. Fold pastry in half to completely enclose filling; press edges together to seal. Place on baking sheet; brush tops with remaining egg mixture.
  • Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.

Make Ahead

Assemble appetizers as directed but do not brush with egg mixture. Place in a freezer-weight resealable plastic bag. Remove excess air from bag and seal bag. Freeze up to 3 months. When ready to serve, remove appetizers from freezer and place in a single layer on baking sheet. Brush with egg mixture. Bake at 400°F for 15 to 17 minutes or until heated through and golden brown.

Special Extra

Use a fork to seal the pastry edges - it adds a decorative edge and prevents the filling from coming out.

I think a 2" round is too small for 1 tsp of filling (the filling kept wanting to spill out). I'll definitely make them again...but next time I'll try cutting the dough into squares and then folding them into rectangles. Be sure to spray the pan you bake them in...they tend to stick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great, easy recipe! This is a great, easy recipe! I made a big mess by trying to do the puff pastry as described in the recipe; so, I pressed the little circles into a greased mini muffin pan, then filled the little cups with the filling. This turned out to be really good because people at receptions can see what they are eating!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this recipe...yummo! I made this recipe...yummo! But I have a few twist in mind..for breakfast I love to have cream cheese on croissants with fresh berries, so I am going to try this for my family as a breakfast treat..I will let you know how they turned out and will post the recipe, if its deserving of me doing so lol!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful appetizer for a party! Wonderful appetizer for a party! Everyone raved about them and they flew off the platter! One box of puff pastry did not yield 44 pieces though...less than half that many...so double your filling recipe and use two boxes of pastry if you need that many. I'll definitely be making these again!

The first time I made these I used the Garden Veggie cream cheese, they turned out really great. The second time I made these I left out the meat and used Jalapeno cream cheese, I added more jalapeno peppers and it gave it a nice little kick. If you like heat, go with the jalapenos!
