Rated 4 out of 5 by from I hate the traditional spring salad. I hate the traditional spring salad. This one is a LOT better!!! I usually just buy the 20oz tortellini package & it still coats up nicely. Normally, I'll mix up the sauce in a small bowl, and the other ingredients in a large bowl - then chill seperately. Then I'll mix them together just before serving - makes it so the tortellini doesn't absorb the dressing & is much creamier & more tasty!! I make this one often - especially for my boys' family birthday parties when I have a lot of people!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oh So Good! Oh So Good! I knew my kids wouldn't eat the pea pods, so I used chopped red & green peppers instead, also a handful of shredded carrots. I made the pasta in the morning, pat dry then tossed it in olive oil so it didn't stick together. Also made the super easy dressing dressing in the morning. Put (separately) in fridge for a few hours...toss the veggies and dressing in and serve! Had fussy in-laws here that also loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and delicious. Simple and delicious. A keeper recipe. For when you want something a little nicer or different than the standard pasta salads. I received many compliments on this at a family potluck (and my in-laws make some great stuff). It even stands up to changes well. I used dried tortellini, cooked the night before, and added the chilled dressing the next morning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for our housewarming party and everyone loved it. I made this for our housewarming party and everyone loved it. I also used 20 oz of pasta, but everything still coated well. I used a zesty Italian dressing and that added some good flavour, too. I like the idea of a red pepper; I think I'll try that next time. Delicious!

Based on other reviews I used a ranch packet instead of Italian, and it was delicious. Will definitely add into the rotation of items I take to parties. It's easy, delicious and a crowd pleaser.

I ended up buying a 20 ounce package of tortellini instead of using the 2 9-ounce packages, so there wasnt enough dressing. But even so, it had good flavor and next time I'll use the correct amount of pasta!! Good recipe!
