What You Need

Tbsp. oil

small onion, chopped

1/2

cup each chopped green and red peppers

cup frozen corn

3/4

cup orzo pasta, uncooked

can (14-1/2 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth

1/2

cup (1/2 of 8-oz. tub) PHILADELPHIA Chive & Onion 1/3 Less Fat than Cream Cheese

Make It

HEAT oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 4 min., stirring frequently. Stir in peppers and corn; cook and stir 2 min. Add orzo; cook and stir 1 min.

STIR in broth; bring to boil on high heat. Simmer on medium-low heat 10 to 12 min. or until orzo and vegetables are tender and most the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.

ADD reduced-fat cream cheese; cook 1 to 2 min. or until cream cheese is melted and sauce is well blended, stirring constantly.

Add 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh herbs, such as basil or rosemary, to the cooked vegetables with the broth.

How to Store Dried Pasta

Dried pasta will last almost indefinitely if stored in an airtight glass or plastic container in a cool dark place. Dried whole wheat pasta can turn rancid, however, so should be used within the recommended time listed on the package.

This recipe was ok, but nothing noteworthy. It was bland. Was edible but wouldn't make again.

Very quick and easy. Prepared twice recently, modified the second time, tasty both times, 2 yr old grandson likes it very much. Substitutions = 6 oz elbow mac for orzo (don't know weight of 3/4 cup orzo), frozen mixed peppers for fresh. Additions = 1 cup frozen peas, approx 6oz more broth, 1/4 cup more cream cheese to compensate for add'l pasta and peas. Any veggies could be used/added with add'l broth and cream cheese to compensate for additions. Favorite herb would be a nice addition.

very easy to make and good flavor mixture. I used whole wheat orzo for extra fiber and it turned out wonderfully.

This recipe was easy and delicious, even my son who is a picky eater enjoyed. I did add a little more pasta and some cubed ham to the dish.

This was so easy to make. I didn't have a red pepper so I only used a green pepper and I didn't have frozen corn so I used drained a can of corn. It was so good!!

This dish was fast to prepare and VERY flavorful. I will absolutely prepare this dish again.
