Serving Suggestion

Serve with your favorite hot steamed vegetable.

Shortcut

Purchasing a fully-cooked rotisserie chicken at the supermarket is a quick way to obtain cooked chicken for recipes. Check to make sure the chicken is hot, not just warm, when you purchase it. If you are not using the chicken immediately, cut it into pieces and store in tightly covered containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Note

Spray the foil with cooking spray before using to cover the lasagna to help prevent the foil from sticking to the cheese on top of the lasagna.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This lasagna was different but very good. This lasagna was different but very good. I deviated slightly from the recipe and made the following enhancements: I had a tub of Philadelphia Italian cheese cooking cream in the fridge so I used that and 1 pack of cream cheese. I did not measure the chicken but pretty sure it was well over 2 cups so I used the full 8.5 oz jar of sundried tomatoes. I also added spinach and chopped onion. My boys gave this dish rave reviews and so did hubby, who really doesn't like any pasta meals I make. I couldn't imagine this dish any other way. The recipe is a keeper but will reserve for holidays/special occasions due to prep time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I could tell this was a winner by reading the ingredients. I could tell this was a winner by reading the ingredients. However I used some of other's suggestions as well as wanting to "skinny" it up. I used Neufchatel cheese cutting out 1/3 of the calories. Rather than lasagna noodles I layered with 2 trimmed to fit whole wheat, low fat & low carb. wraps per layer. I added sauted fresh mushrooms and onion to the chicken mixture. If I hadn't added the vegetables I would probably have used more than 2 c. chicken. I had on hand a package of 6 cheese Italian blend. I thought the artichokes and sun dried tomatoes would add an interesting flavor so they were included in the chicken mix. I made it as instructed but I added a layer of fresh spinach on the wrap before putting on the chicken mixture. We didn't think it was dry and it held together nicely. Very tasty and I am glad there are left overs to enjoy again!

Not being a fan of tomato sauce, but loving pasta I decided to make this for my husband and two step daughters. We all loved it,the girls who are notoriously picky (19+24) even went back for seconds. They usualy don't rave about anything, but I have heard them tell people 2 weeks later how good it was. I shared some with my nephew(25) & he asked for the recipe. Can't say enough how good this was and easy.Love it,love it,love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a HUGE hit with my family. This was a HUGE hit with my family. It was enough for six people with leftovers. Kinda took me a long time to prep but I really wanted the chicken to be nice and seasoned and sautéed with garlic. I added lots of baby spinach within the layers along with fresh tomatoes as opposed to sun-dried. Was absolutely delicious but honestly, not too sure about the artichokes. I think next time i'll leave them out.

I made a few adjustments to this recipe, and would make a couple more the next time I make it, but overall it was very tasty. I replaced the tomatoes with roasted red peppers and added fresh mushrooms. I also used fat free cream cheese. The whole dish was a little dry, so next time I will add more milk to the sauce mixture to thin it out. But the flavor was great, and my husband ate 3 pieces!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yummy and reheats great! Yummy and reheats great! Of course, I made some alterations and would make some more next time. I substituted chopped cherry tomatoes as sun-dried are so expensive. I also use no-boil noodles, which came out great. I would use more chicken and articoke hearts next time, so would probably have to add some more cheese mixture (maybe add cottage cheese!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was great! This was great! I had a candle party with 8 women to feed plus my husband and 3 kids. A few guests even took a plate home. I grilled a whole chicken and deboned. I did not use tomatoes at all. I blended artichokes, tons of fresh basil, and garlic; along with the juice from grilling the chicken in the blender. Prep time was long but worth it!
