What You Need

1-1/2

cups boiling water

pkg. (8-serving size) JELL-O Orange Flavor Gelatin

1-1/2

cups cold water

cup worm-shaped chewy fruit snacks

Make It

STIR boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in cold water.

POUR into 9-inch pie plate sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hours or until thickened (spoon drawn through leaves definite impression).

REMOVE a few of the fruit snacks for garnish. Press remaining fruit snacks into gelatin. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Unmold. Top with reserved fruit snacks just before serving. Store leftover gelatin in refrigerator.

Prepare as directed, using 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Orange Flavor Gelatin.

How To Unmold Gelatin

Dip mold in warm water for 15 sec. Gently pull gelatin from around edge with moistened fingers. Place moistened serving plate on top of mold. Invert mold and plate; holding mold and plate together, shake slightly to loosen. Gently remove mold and center gelatin on plate.

I'd make this recipe with changes. I would not add as much water as this recipe calls for but rather follow the directions on the Jell-O package and I would not grease the dish as that just made it soupier. This did not set-up well. I would add some worms to the Jell-O before it set-up as well. Finally, it's important to note that in the picture and for taste, sour worms are better, otherwise, it's too much sweet.

it is a fun recipe, and fun to look at. kids loved it but as an adult i didn't like the taste.

It's entirely sugar - but was neat to see the reaction of both kids and adults. Make sure to spray the pan with cooking spray or it'll turn out in a big mess.

The sugar content is too high for children, who would gobble this up in no time. Try the recipe using Splenda brand sugar substitute.

This recipe is definitely intended for children to make. It is appealing to a child's imagination, and easy for them to enjoy making themselves (with supervision, of course).
