  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Combine cheese, crumbs and seasonings in shallow dish.
  • Cover rimmed baking sheet with foil; spray with cooking spray. Dip chicken, 1 breast at a time, in butter, then in cheese mixture, turning to evenly coat both sides of each breast with each ingredient; place on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake 20 min. or until chicken is done (165ºF).

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a crisp Caesar salad, and a serving of hot cooked spaghetti topped with your favorite CLASSICO Pasta Sauce.

Substitute

Prepare using KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan and Romano Cheese.

Variation

Prepare using unseasoned bread crumbs and adding 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves to the bread crumb mixture before using as directed.

I did add extra seasonings (garlic and onion powder, extra pepper, and extra Italian seasoning) because we like bolder flavors. I also added garlic powder and black powder to the melted butter. I baked the chicken on a metal baking sheet and they came out very juicy in the middle and crunchy on the outside. Also, I cut the breasts up into tenders - it took the whole 20 minutes to bake them even at that size. I will definitely make these again!

I loved it but I did change some things I used garlic butter or infused olive oil also 1 time I ground up some spiced almonds with my plain bread crumbs. Actually I make it alittle different almost everytime my husband and kids all love it and can't wait to see what I'll do next. They all have thier favorites too so if you do experiment don't forget to write down the fav's or you might never get it the same again--has happened a few times.

If you want to cut down on calories, omit the butter & just freshly rinse-off the breasts right before immersing them in the dry mixture, the coating will stick OK. Try mixing in Romano in with the Parmesan for a different taste; I also omit the paparika when I make it. Previous raters are right, it does take more than 35 min. to cook thoroughly inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have a large family. I have a large family. So I took 6 large breast and halved them in butterfly cuts. I used a gallon size Ziploc for a shake bag. It took 4x the ingredients listed to make it. but I separated each batch so it would cover properly. Turned out perfectly. Only thing is the seasoning was mild. I added extra seasonings to the last batch and it was perfect nice and moist. my family loved it:) thanks

So i did not have a chance to stop by the store but i was determined to make this meal. I did not have bread crumbs but i did have Ranch flavored croutons and i crushed those and used them as bread crumbs and the meal was delicious the boys love it. My boys are 14 and 2yrs old. I would make this meal at least twice a month.

I substituted caesar vinnagrette dressing for the butter - with the flavor of the dressing less salt could be used, but still wonderful! A little time in the microwave to thaw the chicken a bit, and the cooking time is perfect. A great meal with long grain wild rice and a vegetable.

I made the Crispy Parmesan Chicken Breasts for dinner tonight, and they were moist and tasty. They took very little prep time, and the ingredients were ones I had on hand, which I always appreciate. I think they would be delicious served with pasta and spaghetti sauce or chilled and sliced over a bed of greens with Ranch dressing. I'll definitely be making them again.

I looked at someone else's notes and saw that they marinated the chicken with Italian dressing. I didn't have that so I used olive oil and Italian seasonings. It had a good flavor. Next time I will be a little more heavy handed with the seasonings. It lacked the umph I was looking for. Overall it was a good recipe and my 2yr. old loved it!
