Rated 4 out of 5 by from I pretty much made 1/3 of this recipe in order to make 3 small servings. I pretty much made 1/3 of this recipe in order to make 3 small servings. In lieu of the ham, I fried up 7-1/2 oz. of ground turkey (raw weight) that I crumbled, drained, and seasoned with a small minced habanero chile (this reduced the sodium a lot and perhaps some of the fat). Next time I would use a milder chile or Italian seasoning, as this turned out almost too hot for us, but that was my own fault. I made the recipe in an 8-1/2" x 4-1/2" glass bread loaf dish, and found that I needed 4 Kraft Singles. Only could refrigerate it for 2-1/2 hrs., and it was still GOOD.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Where does the bacon come in. Where does the bacon come in. Says first layer bacon, but not listed as ingredient. If I do use bacon - cooked/uncooked? <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Wendy ~ Thank you for pointing out the discrepancy between the recipe description and the ingredients. The recipe is correct as written with no bacon. We are sorry for the confusion and hope you give this yummy recipe a try. >>>

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I changed this recipe a bit and it was loved by all. I changed this recipe a bit and it was loved by all. I swapped the broccoli for mushrooms, red pepper for the onion, and I only used 11 pieces of bread because that's all I had. I also used queso blanco velveeta instead of the slices. I probably ended up doubling the amount called.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was a really good casserole. This was a really good casserole. Next time I'll only add 2 cups of milk instead of 3 cups because it made the bread too soggy. I also baked this longer than the recipe recommended because the inside wasn't cooked enough. I'll gladly make this again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it! I love it! It is so easy to make, tastes great and is filling & really satisfying. My family loved it too. Due to unavailability of broccoli, I used button mushrooms. It turned out just great.
