  • Then follow our 3 simple steps:
  • Cut 1 lb. apples into thin sticks. Mix with green onions, celery and 1-1/2 cups of your choice of other vegetables.
  • Mix together dressing, seasoning and 1/2 cup chopped toasted PLANTERS Nuts. Toss with the apple mixture.
  • Cover and refrigerate several hours to allow flavors to blend.

Storage Know-How

Always remove apples that are overripe or have soft spots. They give off ethylene gas which speeds up the ripening of the other apples. Store small amounts in a plastic bag in the refrigerator and they will keep for up to 1 month.

First I want to say, I am not a mayo person, I thought this recipe was pretty good but I made mine different. First, I didn't use green onions, and second, I used a bagged coleslaw mix. The miracle whip to me was a little powerful with the first bite but after that it wasn't too bad. I think next time I will use a poppyseed dressing and red onions. It was pretty light though. I didn't feel guilty about eating it cause I used light miracle whip dressing, and I used less than what it called for.
