Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Family and School Hit I have made this recipe several times both for my family and school appreciation luncheons. Everyone loves it. Every time my son sees a package of coleslaw mix in the cart he asks if I'm making this. I don't like Ranch ( I know some people feels that unAmerican.) so I substituted Avocado Ranch and it makes the flavors even better. I also use the whole can of beans and bag of corn. I usually double the sauce and since I make it the night before the Ramen soak up the excess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious and Easy Indeed! I made this last night for dinner and it was fantastic! Hearty enough to be a meal on its own with the beans and corn. I even forgot the cheese (don't ask me how, because we love cheese) and it was still great! Simple ingredients and came together quickly. I did let it set for a few minutes to help "soften" the slaw, just as you would with cole slaw (but not nearly as long). Would highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and delicious! Big hit at my Mexican-themed dinner party! Unlike some other reviewers, I did use the hot sauce, and it had a little kick but was not too spicy. I used a whole can of black beans and 12-oz package of frozen corn because I didn't want leftover ingredients. Otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. Super easy and yummy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Easy And Tasty! I was planning to make this for a crowd, but that event fell through so I made it just for the two of us. Taking advice from others, I cut back on the hot sauce and added a bit of salsa. Also just crumbled some ramen noodles into the individual servings so they wouldn't get soggy, since we have leftovers. Taking this to work tomorrow for lunch and adding some shredded rotisserie chicken for a complete meal! Will definitely make again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious Salad Have made this twice now and am about to make it again! I love the flavor combination and the crunch! Made a few additions too, to make it a main dish salad and to add some zing! I added cooked white meat chicken cut in bite sized pieces and a half cup dried cranberries which added that sweet tart flavor. Also, I topped it with some fried won ton strips for a little more crisp! Thanks for this recipe! It rocks!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs tweaking Made this a few days ago. It does need more sauce and more flavor - maybe onions? It made a large bowl, enough for next day, but noodles absorbed the sauce and became like pasta-like. Should definitely eat the same day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good taco salad I just made this taco salad for dinner. I made it according to directions adding a pound of hamburger. It needs a little more flavor that I got from adding some red onion. It was very tasty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Tasty and simple for a "wow" effect This salad whipped up in minutes and is very tasty. I used salsa instead of hot sauce and added a few dashes of Siracha. I found the dressing amount to be perfect although at first it seemed it would be dry. I used the shole can of black beans - just about a cup after draining.
